im back from my 4days 3 nights stay in BKK!!:):) shall start to blog on my visit now!

alright, i shall start off with a pic of qi ji popiah! told gene if we could go there to eat my fav popiah before we fly the next day. and cos of my cravings, we went all the way to kovan to eat that! heheh qi ji serves one of the best popiah in singapore, and is one of the popiah that is top on my list!

gonna leave pb behind for the next few days, so i took some pics of him too. haha

took mrt to airport on that actual day! so excited! have waited for this day to arrive like ages. happy that ive gt my own handyman throughout the whole trip:) thanks so much mr tan!!:):) with my sis's big and bright pink luggage, ready to conquer thailand and shop till i drop!!

after checking in and settled the admin matters, we were finally at the waiting area all ready to board our plane! thai airways, here we come!!!

yes, we were up in the air alr!! it has been some time since i last took a plane alr, so i was abit thrilled yet anxious when i was on the plane, especially when the plane takes off and lands. 

did not expect to be served airplane food cos its only a short 2 hr flight, and the package did not state that there is gonna be food. so we were quite happy when we found out there was! i love airplane food leh, it makes me more excited. lol but this one did not taste very good. and i was still full from my ya-kun lunch!!:O

ahhh! we were on thailand's land alr!!

the first thing we gt from the bkk airport was to go to their 7-11 and buy their yakult! cos thailand's one is so so huge! 400ml!!! so happy can, thailand's one is so generous! we bought this drink everyday when we were in bkk. lol

and finally, we gt to our hotel!! alr done some research and heard that its not as great, so we did not expect much from it. and really, the first thing we realised was that they did not allocate us queen sized bed as told. enquired the counter staff about it and he told us that they did not have enough beds that day and can only change for us the following day. and the next day when we returned back to our hotel, we found out that they merely just spread the queen sized bed mattress cover over the 2 beds! cheated again and again!:( but nvm, wo men ren!! after some time settling down, we were off to shop!!

took a cab down to platinum mall cos our hotel is quite far from the mall. lucky the taxi fare is quite cheap in bkk. we went to eat lun-ner at their food court first!! gene has went to bkk some months back, so he knew all the good food in plat mall. so he gt all the food for us to share everytime.

MANGO STIKY RICE!!! OMG I CAN EAT THIS ANYTIME!!!! (we ate this everytime we had our meals. altogether, we ate 5 diff mango sticy rice from 5 diff stalls.) lol crazy us. but i really love this! omg drools drools drools~~~~~~

and after our meal, we were off to shop! i could not wait alr la!! but plat mall closes quite early, so we only had a few hrs to shop on the first day.

ok...shopping makes us tired after that. there is basically nothing much to do at night cos most of the malls are closed for business by then. so off to our hotel! lucky we had the Olympics to watch! but the unlucky thing was, their TV reception was super bad!! should not have chosen this hotel!! lol

and we saw that there is massage service in our hotel!! was wondering where the massage place gonna be cos the hotel is so small, and were told that they will come up straight to yr hotel room to do the massage. lol so weird right!! and when i called to ask for the massage, the staff told me there is only one person available. so we had to take turns to do it. gene 1hr and me the next. i think the lady is gonna be dead beat after that. lol but she was really good! so strong and she really pulled my arms and legs. we were so satisfied that gene gave her some tip. 

and that ends our first day in bkk!! 

Day 2

we were entitled free breakfast everyday in their small restaurant inside their hotel. i were still expecting some decent breakfast buffet like other hotels. but, our hotel only has a small dim sum restaurant that only have 4 kinds of breakfast sets for us to choose from. gene chose their american breakfast and i chose their dim sum set. 

mine. lol so cute right hahaah with the cucumber and carrot garnishing at the side. lol but my set was not good, so we ate the american set for the rest of the mornings. lol 

after breakfast, we went back to our room to get ready for plat mall round 2!! haha bought this sunglasses the night before at their night market!!

ok...did not manage to take any pics of the mall cos, u know la, too excited and busy shopping alr. these were the loots we gt by the time we stopped for lunch!!

at their food court again. seriously, everything in this food court tastes so delicious!!

this is the must-try as gene told me, beef balls claypot noodles soup. it was so great that he bought 2 diff soup bases at one go. and really, it tasted so good!! the soup is so sweet!!!

decided to call it a day of shopping. we shopped till plat mall closed for the day. lol and our legs were so sour by the time we were done that we decided to walk down the street for foot massage!

if u see clearly enough, the guy at the top left hand corner is a lady-boy. there are so many lady-boys in thailand, in plat mall too! alr kind of expected it so i was not scared when interacting with them. but their looks still give me the creeps sometimes. lol

this time round, the massage was not as good as the massage ysd. but it was still good in a way. they applied this hot stone on our necks in the middle of the massage. gave us both a scare when the hot stone was rolled over our necks, cos they did not inform us before they used it, and they were so hot! but it was very shuang!!

da-baoed dinner that night cos we wanted to eat their street food. gene wanted to try their samurai pork burger from mcdonalds, so we gt one back too!

and these were the street food we gt for our dinner! gene told me their street food tastes much better, and he highly recommends this maggi mee at the right hand corner. that was super nice!!!! i wanted to eat that now!!!
