there's 2 tests coming this week, and im so bummed out studying for them! have lost touch with my fyp for the moment cos i have been occupied with other work on hand. *hangs head* but its a good relief that all my tuition lessons have ended for the year. i hope my students did well!! now with the end of tuition, i (hope) i can focus more on my work!!

my student on the right hand side, taken on the last day of our tuition! she was saying she will miss me, and so i suggested to take our pics tgt!! the one on the left hand side is her sister, who always come and see see look look when im teaching. LOL i like them both cos they always being laughter during lessons. teaching students from another race definitely allows me to know more abt their culture and traditions. for example, i get to know more abt the tamil language and their religion when my student shared stores with me! lol in exchange, i taught her some mandarin and hokkein!! haha funny ttm

ikea day on friday!

gene's dad has the maxi cab to drive for a few days and so he drove us there. the maxi cab is so so cool!!! it is so spacious and there's TV inside for us to watch movies!! comfortable no? haha

yay we have reached! gene wanted to get a new table and armchair in his room, so that i can study when im over at his house. we decided to get a long table (well, cos i need a very big space to study, no joke), and we spent such a long time in the tables section!! so tedious to decide and come to a conclusion cos there's so much things to decide, such as the dimensions, the colour and the durability, etc. we decided to customize our table! guess which tabletop we chose in the end?:)

deciding on the armchair was much easier cos there's lesser things to consider. gt a director's armchair in the end!! 

yay! collecting our furniture!!

cos we were assembling the furniture by ourselves, we had to get everything back into uncle's maxi cab. there were so many separate parts, u can imagine the amount of work done just by assembling.

woohoooooo! i love shopping inside ikea cos all the designs of the rooms are so pretty, i feel like getting all back home. walking ard ikea differs so much from shopping for furniture cos there's just so much work to be done. and most likely u will spend majority of yr time in one section of ikea for the whole day. it was tedious, but fun! i like the feeling of shopping for furniture knowing that they are gonna be yours, in your own room. lol and the satisfied feeling you get after u have finally finished assembling the furniture!! (i did not really help in assembling, but i love the feeling of having new furniture!!) yay now i have big table and comfy armchair to do work alr! thank you my dear!! *happy*!!!!

hellooooo!~ *waves to pb*!! 

gene wanted to treat me to some good food!! and we were like thinking where to eat when gene suggested timbre! i was like, OMG YES YES! cos i would love to eat the duck pizza again. we decided to go to a new branch, switch by timbre. heard that there's both chinese and English bands there so its good cos i would like to hear chinese songs! it was relatively easy to reach there! so glad we reached at a correct timing, cos we requested for a high table and there's still seats for us even when we did not make reservations beforehand. the place was quite crowded, and were mostly filled with working class adults coming in to chill after work on a friday night. soon it was full house!! i was excited cos it was another kind of atmosphere diff from the branch i went on valentine's day!

we gt to order our food from this customized ipad!! so cool isnt it?

"ORDER DUCK PIZZA ORDER DUCK PIZZA!!" cant wait to eat this alr. lol but this time round, we chose 2 flavours for the pizza, duck and buffalo chicken!! the waiter told us that each of us had to get drinks to be entitled the happy hour promotion. and cos both eugene and i dont really like to drink alcoholic drinks, we mian qiang gt 2 drinks. LOL i gt the mildest one as u can see--tequila sunrise, cos i saw theres orange juice inside. lol and gene gt erdinger. also ordered buffalo wings cos gene wanted to try that ever since the last time we were there. haha 

yay!! happy us!!:):) slow, but i just realised the both of us have dimples, and on different sides!! hahaha

our drinks have arrived!! luckily i chose this drink, cos it was sweet!! just that i didnt really like the aftertaste--reminds me of medicated syrup!! it was only when we were scrolling at the ipad again did we realise that they sell juices and other drinks too, other than alcoholic ones. we did not see those when we were ordering then! ahhh nvm, at least mine was much better than "sex on the beach" that we ordered during valentine's day. LOL 

tried gene's erdinger and i hated it. i concluded that i just cant drink alcoholic drinks. lol that aside, check out my or-bak kak eyes. LOL 

BUFFALO WINGS! SO MANY OF THEM for the 2 of us!! i always stay away from chicken wings cos 1) i dont really like to eat them. 2) they are so diff to handle. tried to eat it with fork and knife to act demure, LOL and the cutlery hit the plate and made such a sharp sound. gene kept telling me to use my hands, but i thought i can do it. but after some time, i gave up and decided to use my hands. 

AHHHHHHHH how can u miss this right! my favourite pizza of all time. 

our table was so small! was so worried that our food would drop off the table that we had to eat without any big movement. lol 

the band only came in ard 8 to 9pm! initally wanted to wait till they start then i start on my food cos i wanted to enjoy. lol but by the time they set up their instruments and sang, we were alr done with the food LOL 

i love nights like this!!! but theres a price to pay for such nights. lol the bill was super ex. i bet its the drinks we gt. should have just gotten juices! was guilty for spending so much for a treat, so i told gene we can split half for the bill, but gene said nvm, though i can sense he was super heart pained. LOL LOL thank you my dear!! heeheehe:):)

love grows, year by year, hand in hand, better and better.

october is one of the busiest months of the sem. and cos it is a busy month, it kind of flew past quite fast. some updates of the week!

only went to sch for one day this week. LOL having a rather slcak timetable definitely makes u lazy. this is a FACT, i have alr concluded. on tues, we saw this cow and maple tree in can B! haha they appeared out of nowhere! lol so the three of us were like, eh wanna take with the cow anot?! lol was still hesitating when the cow came to our direction and sat down. LOL i guess it was tired. so since the cow was so close to us alr, we decided to take a pic with it! LOL the cow doesnt really look like a cow does he? theres no eyes and nose, only a piece of pink stuff at the mouth area, so i guess its supposedly the tongue.

lol we wanted to take pics with the maple tree too but as u can see, the maple tree was much more popular than the cow, and cos we still had a lesson to run to, we did not take a pic with it. lol yuan lai the two are mascots for ben and jerry for their new maple tree flavoured ice cream! i have tried that and mentioned abt it in my last blog post! haha

sister wore my mom's black ah ma shoes and she said its like she's tap dancing when she is wearing it. LOL 

received this from the army! lol seems like they are starting to increase their intake of female recruits? omigosh.

jun tied this braids for me! lol not the best braid though. lol 

was up early on sat morning cos gene had to a sch proj to do in which we had to rope in the help of jun and go all the way to some big open space. went to my ever fav place at ard 8 plus in the morn, before the sun came up! but too bad, the sun was out earlier than us. LOL lucky i had my umbrella with me!!

the proj requires filming, and cos my sister loves to act, she was so excited to be the 'star' of the film. see what i mean?

ok so im in charged of the filming while gene had to teach my sis the skills to throw the shot put. i thought it was easy to throw, but im so wrong! there are so many skills involved. 

so, teacher tan demonstrated how to throw while student eu looked on. 

director eu was hiding in her umbrella all throughout haahhahahaa the sun was terrible!!! great thing i brought the umbrella too! cos the sun was too bright, and with the umbrella to act as shield, pics can be seen more clearly! woo! pro camera man cum filmmaker.

went to manhattan fish market and got their giant fried platter cos gene had a coupon for it. everything was fried and we kind of got sick and bloated after eating this. so full the whole day, its terrible!!
