Day 4

post for last day of bkk coming right up! blogging abt day 4 makes me think that we should have bought tickets for more nights instead. 4 days 3 nights is not enough for me!:( kept telling gene i dont wanna go back so soon cos i am not yet done with my shopping! T_T but the thing was, we were really cash strapped on the last day alr. lol so no choice, we have to return to singapore:'( and the thai baht that we were holding were so little that we had to spend them wisely; everything has to be planned before we decide to do anything. lol so we only used it to buy food and to take their mrt. no shopping on the last day! boo-hoo!

after checking out our luggage and placing them under the care of the hotel staff, and we were off to check out a new mall before we take our plane in the late afternoon! 

haha i love BIG shades man, cos they can hide my big face. hahahah and in thailand, u can wear shades freely without a care:):)

and yes! we have reached the new mall!! actually we did not know which mall to go to on our last day cos it's too impromptu. but we saw a few malls on the third day when we travelled down to siam, so we decided to check one out near our hotel! and it was a good choice we made cos i love that mall! platinum 21!! i think the mall is newly opened not too long ago, and i love the interior design and concept of the mall! 

see! diff stores with their diff window displays!! this reminds me of genting. lol and whats so special abt the mall is that, they have diff concepts for diff levels! so for one level, u may be in  european land, and the next, u may be in japan! so cool so cool i could not stop gushing in excitement. i love this mall!!!!

3 tourists volunteered to help us take pics of us with this sumo wrestler statue. they were so excited to help us take pics that they took so many pics of us and one of them even took our pics using her own phone and showed it to us. omggggg lol

and there is a cinema in platinum 21 too!! too bad we had limited time there, if not we could have watch a movie there and then. but o wells~ the cinema is so big can!!

we went down to the basement to find food! and we spotted a tao kuey noi store! the whole store that sells only tao kuey noi seaweed! how cool is that!!!

how can u not be excited looking at this!? thats why even though we were super out of money alr, gene decided to squeeze out some money to buy 2 large packets for me to take back home. lol thank yew my dear!!!!!

ahh red velvet cupcakes spotted! but the ones they made were so pretty, not like the ones that yh and i made a few weeks back. lol this is to show how to squeeze the icing cream out. lol ok la, she has the appropriate equipment to do that!

ok, we decided to eat at its food court for our lunch! when we went up to the top level to their food court, we spotted this! so cool! the London bridge that connects both sides of the mall tgt, and with miniature cars on it!!

ok time to settle down for lunch! gt these to try! western and phad thai again! lol did not get to eat tom yum (surprisingly) on this trip cos its either we could not find it, or that the store is alr closed when we went. so sad luh! tomyum is the must-try dish in thailand afterall! sobs, i will definitely try tom yum if i go to thailand again!

and the last mango sticky rice for our trip!!this one is the cheapest, and one of the best IMO! they give the whole mango seed too!

ok after exploring and window shopping, we went back to our hotel to go down to the airport. and surprisingly, we still had some spare cash left! thumbs up to our frugal selves on our last day. lol so we decided to take the taxi down instead of their skytrain.

and this concludes our 4 days 3 nights stay in bkk:) our first overseas trip together, so i was really happy and glad:):) so thankful to gene who brought me around bkk and ensured my safety and did most of the research while i just followed him (cos i was too lazy). lol he went bkk with his friends a few months back alr, but went again on another trip with me cos i was so tempted to go there. and thank you for helping me to carry the ton of shopping bags and spending afternoons away looking at me shop. how boring can that get?? lol now that i think abt it, i think i should really show more gratitude. LOL :p thank you my dear, i love u (deep deep)!! haha!!
