shall now talk about my pulau ubin trip!!!:)

after such a long time, i have finally went to ubin to cycle! its been a long 11 years since i last set foot there with my family and relatives!! this time round, i went with may lan, jun xiu, and her friend mei jie! we had to take a ferry over to get to ubin and so its all the way at changi...we took bus, mrt and ferry in order to get there!! by the time we reached the jetty, its already noon le! so super hot!!

we are finally at the jetty le!!:D

luckily, the ferry ride was kinda stable, no crashing and bumpy waves too:)

yea! out to sea!!!

after a 10 min ride or so, we have reached the small island!! welcome to pulau ubin!!:)

after renting our bikes, we set off to explore the island! jx visits ubin quite regularly so she led the way..but she kinda gt lost at some parts of the route also! haha! but we heard from the rental bike uncle that there is a must-see venue and so, we cycled there to have a look at the scenery there!! its steep slopes up to the top and we are not allowed to cycle up. so we had to park our bikes at the bottom of the hill and climb up the steep slopes. phew! tedious! and kudos to jx who wear slippers! hahaa

this is really tiring i tell u..walking up steep slopes uses alot of stamina!!

and we decided to self-time there! of cos right, how can we miss out taking grp pic there when the scenery is so nice! we risked the sand flies and put the camera right below it!!

when we gt down, we spotted wild mushrooms!!

and off we cycle to the next venue!

we saw the american family that set off on the jetty with us earlier in the day and the father was so kind to help us take pics!! haha

after they went down, we had to take self time pics again! this is super nice i like!!:D

we decided to get down the tower and walk over to the boardwalk while is still low tide! heard that we could see lots of creatures that are hard to find!!

swamp area~ and yes, we found some rare treasures among the swamps!

jx told us theres a super beautiful tree she loves at the swamp area that we have to see no matter what. and when we gt there, we realised that the tree has become 'botak' already! haha! but i think botak also gt botak de beautiful eh haha isnt it??

if u look closely, u can spot crabs!! haha! yes we saw to our amazement, tiny little crabs on the sand! so many of them too! they are a special species of crabs cos all of them only have a super big pincer!

and we spotted a family of mudskippers too!!:)

the sea was so beautiful, we decided to sit at the shelter area and rest awhile and enjoy the breeze and the sea

cycled ard and reach another part of the beach! by then its getting dark and we were abt to leave the area le..and by then, we were tired too ahaha

and this called the end of our expedition to ubin! i really felt like we were superwomen that day man..exploring ard ubin although its quite a dangerous place..heard some stories from the people there that there have been numerous serious accidents due to cycling cos the roads there are quite dangerous. so u can imagine how i feel when we returned our bikes to the rental shop safely. i felt relieved, and at the same time, satisfied and accomplished:)

yes, thanks to jx, i finally made my trip down to ubin to cycle and explore! it was tiring and ubin was so far away, but it was worth it!:D
