HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!!!:)

yays!! its january again!! january is a happy month:D:D ok! shall start off my blog post with those last few days of 2010.

my tuitee's mom cooked this during our 4hrs tution last week! im really touched cos it was filled with so much sincerity in the cooking, and it tasted superb:)

went to ikea with gene too. after that, we had dinner there. and gene ordered so much stuff!! hiaz. cant blame mi for my alarming mass. lol nonetheless, its nice!! esp the meatballs and the chicken wings though i dun really like these 2 foods generally. but ikea's is exception!!:)

ok...thats for 2010. and in comes 2011!! the first day of the year is significant for mi cos not only its a whole new year, its also gene and me's first year anniversary:):) we went to universal studios to celebrate!! hoho!! we went there quite early, but its already packed with people when we reached. its a lucky thing we decided to gt in early, cos it started raining after we went in for abt 1 hr or so!!:x shao xing lor!! but we went and purchase ponchos and cont to explore USS in the rain. actualli its unique in a way!! haha:)

hmm...where shall we start first??

we secured our bags and stuff inside their lockers, and armed with a camera, we're off!! once we gt in, we saw the mascots of the cartoon characters!! whahaa those mascots only appear at certain timeframes, so u have to be fast to take pics with them!!:)

this kungfu panda is veri HUGE!! and it tried to strangle gene and me with his big arms hahaha!!

there wasnt much roller coasters around, to my relief. haha:P this is the dragon one that we first took. i wasnt mentally prepared cos the person asked if theres any 2 riders in the queue just when we reach, and i immediately raised my hand. and because of that, we dun need to queue and could ride immediately!! but i was so scared cos i obviously have not prepared myself mentally yet. but really, after you have conquered the first ride, u are not as frightened. and not to forget, SCREAMMMM!!!:D

see our ponchos? yes, it started raining by den. and cos the rain was kind of big, some of the rides were temporarily closed. but this did not stop us from trying out all of the rides! (luckily i managed to escape the huge blue and red roller coaster cos its still under maintainance.) haha among all the rides, gene and i loved the mummy roller coaster ride most! its a roller coaster ride in the dark, and it includes twists and 360 degrees turn etc etc. we went for 2 rounds!! haha its realli interesting and heart seizing haha!! a must try!!

we had a late lunch...and the food there are so ex!! the $10 food voucher they offer cant satisfy us luh!!

my 1st time trying this out...beef lasagne. its not bad cos its cheesy!! haha

we were told that the fireworks only start at 9.30pm, and by den, all the rides were closed for the day already. so we decided to retrive our bags from the lockers and wander around outside USS before the firworks begin.

we were searching for this huge hershey chocolate bar...and after some time, we finally found it!! hoho!! if only i can own the whole of candylicious shop, i shall be a happy yue kai all day long!!:p
