life is cruel and fragile sometimes. just todae, i gt a facebook message from ajc alumni with an appeal to raise funds for an aj junior who was diagnosed with bone cancer. Apparently, the treatment did not seem to be effective in treating the affected area (right elbow), and he was offered amputation as the option to keep the illness under control, and thus the appeal to raise funds for the operation, which amount to $21k, excluding other forms of treatment. when i saw this message, i feel so sorry for him. cancer is a terrifying word, and i cant imagine how one would feel knowing hes struck with that illness. i decided to do my part and i hope those reading my blog will help in relieving his financial burden too.

the operation is scheduled on 17 june so they are appealing for donations to be made before 25 june. although hes a stranger to me, i feel sorry that one has to endure such pain at such a young age. amputation is just one hurdle, there will be other forms of treatment to come to fight with the illness. as for us, we can only help by contributing, however small it may be, and i think their family will appreciate the effort too.
