rainy rainy dayyy~ its only one week left before the term paper for this sem. cant wait to fin the 3 papers!! must. hang. on!!!!!

sis made this herself. holis for her meant she gets to experiment with her cooking interests. just last week, she tried to dish up several food! 

mashed potato with cheese and veggie

some days back, she googled pizza recipe and had her first attempt at pizza making!! i was studying in my room, so i was surprised when i came out of my room to find pizza waiting for me in the oven! she went out herself and bought the ingredients herself and made the whole pizza from scratch! she also made egg tarts the same week too. lol sometimes my sister amazes me too much

my relative bought us durians and the whole house was filled with the strong durian smell for 2 days lol 

opening durian time!!!

gene came on fri and we went for a walk in the evening. went up the sports sch hill and we saw a small snake! we almost stepped into it cos it was dark by that time and there was not much street lamps there. the snake was lying in the middle of our feet!!! i still thought that it was a weed on the ground! took a pic of it by flash and realised to our horror it was not a weed, but a tiny snake that was dark enough to camouflage itself on the track! think it had slithered out of the bushes after the rainy weather. i was so scared to cont walking thereafter and jumped at the slightest movement in the park, and it did not help when gene kept on jolting to scare me off!!!! roarsssssss!!!

we were trying to 竞走 as it was very late and we had to hurry back home for dinner. LOL so funny the way he walked!! ahahaha

yay no ppl in the park and we could shout and make funny faces any way we want!!

yay gene decided to cook for me one good dish to encourage me to study for my exams! this should be the 3rd time gene has cooked for me for exams alr, so i think we have to make this practice a tradition alr!! haha:P the dish of the day is BAKED FISH SET!!!:):) yay i like:):)

i think im a very blessed person. maybe i have a happy disposition in general and easily contented. but i have to say im very grateful for my life. i have a great big family who is ever supportive and close knit, a bf whom i know loves me for who i am, and a bestie who treasures and holds our friendship dearly. with these people in my life, i cant be asking for more alr. really, i appreciate and am really thankful of what life has offered me so far. maybe the theory of the book 'the promise' really holds true: the more grateful and the more positive you are, the more good things will come your way. similarly, i believe that if one thinks negatively, all the negative thoughts will gradually snowball into a greater problem. i am not a staunch believer of this; it has always been a cursory knowledge that this theory exists, but i have not paid much attention to it in the past. but now the more i think about it, the more i think it holds true. so, be positive and thankful of your own life. i believe that god always has sth good to offer to everyone, so we should all reflect, learn, appreciate, and be happy. learn to love yourself, i do:):)

happy deepavali!!

shall blog now before another week rolls in! last week was the boy's birthday! we bought tickets to legoland to celebrate on his bd, but only realised the tickets are valid for weekend trip after we have confirmed our purchases. lol so we decided to go on a saturday, 2 days before his actual bd. 

told my sis that im gg to bring along my big megastar shades there, and i wore it to flaunt it at her. and she bought hers out too! LOL at us.

woke up super early on sat to board our bus!!! 

sleepy us, only had 5-6 hrs of sleep before that. luckily the bus journey was very very short, if not i would sleep inside the bus!

yay we have reached!! there were so many families with small children! we felt kind of out of place. lol heard that there is nth much in legoland even before we reach there, but well, i was still kind of excited to a certain extent, cos afterall its an amusement park right! lol it was so hot that day!!! and i left my umbrella at home!!:/ luckily gene had it inside his bag! thanks to him, i gt cover!!!!

pi-gu lor, i took pics of my shades the night before, but i forgt to bring it with it to legoland!! ahhh so angry with myself!!! and gene brought it out and wore it happily without me!!:O sad me!!

it was packed that day and we did not know where to start exploring initially. lol so we walked over to the 小人国 area first. lol and we saw these structures that are made entirely of lego!!! very magestic i would say.

so, we saw a ride with a rather short queue and we went for it. LOL we sat inside it without knowing if its gonna be a scary roller coaster ride or what. turned out that its just a slow ride into a dark cave in which you have to shoot some lighted spots with yr gun inside the cave. and there are scores allocated if you managed to shoot the lighted spots! guess which score was mine and gene's? LOL

saw this water ride! but we did not manage to go for it cos there were really too many people alr! and it started to rain soon afterwards! 

im actually very impressed with how they build those legos into these huge majestic looking figures!!

so hot and hungry! we decided to have our lunch early, before the crowd came in! ordered these to share, but they were kind of disappointing!! and they were not cheap too!!

finally i gt to wear some shades! LOL but no, this was 4D specs!

we queued for so long for this, and yet it rained when it was our turn and we were told that they had to close the station due to the rain and lightning. so unlucky! all the people in the queue were like "huh! whyyyyyyyyyyyy~~~" 

rain and rain..it was not a very good day to roam ard legoland!! we bought an expensive raincoat from one of their stores and with umbrella on hand, we decided to cont. exploring. 

good thing gene prepared his windbreaker! so i wore his windbreaker and his umbrella, while he wore the raincoat so that his bag would not get wet. so good that gene prepared everything that day! cos i did not prepare much stuff at all! ahh i love my bf like this!

saw a crowd gathered at this game booth and we decided to 凑热闹....players are given two balls and are required to throw both balls into the bucket to be entitled one pigs/ cows there (we could not figure out what is it exactly lol). initially i thought it was so easy, but turned out that all the people who tried could not get it!! the person who manned the booth taught all of us some tips but it was too hard to catch the technique. 

and gene decided to give it a try too!!! we wanted to get another pig to accompany pb! a cow doesnt matter too! lol but oops, the balls did not get in! good effort though! 

back to 小人国!!! saw the singapore flyer!!

back to taj mahal! one of the photographers there told gene to do this pose, and it was so hilarious, the way he looked so awkward posing it! hahahahahaha 

ok, everything here is made of lego! GET READY TO FEAST YR EYES ON LEGOS NOW!!

hahha was still asking gene what brand of aeroplane this was, and gene told me its tiger airways. lol i was like, ehhhhhhhhh? (pause) O YA HORRRR!! lol so cute luh, the tiger footprint!! lol 

so tired, we decided to get into a cafe to sit down and rest before we catch one of their shows. by that time we had alr explored most of the places alr, and it was only 4pm! we still have to stay there till 6.45pm for our bus! the whole place was actually quite small, so we ended up exploring quite fast. and we did not queue for the rides as there were too many people alr; the waiting time was 90min!:o 

the performance was more suited for the children....gene almost dozed off watching this! he was really too exhausted alr. lol 

one of the most memorable highlights of the performance was this woman climbing up the rope using only her bare hands!

yay! decided to go eat dinner before we head back to singapore. got out of the amusement park and theres a small mall outside with a few stores to explore. went to eat thai food!!

gene took this zoomed up pic of my phad thai that had my sis drooling when she saw this pic. LOL  their phad thai is so different from the ones ive eaten! its so springy and chewy!! unique indeed.

we got ourselves drawn at this booth!! wanted to try this everytime i see these kind of booths set up cos i wanted to know how pretty or ugly i will turn out. lol and we gt our try that day! lol it was so fascinating the way he drew! just a few glances at us and he could fin up our portrait quite decently!

the finished product. LOL i dont think they look exactly like us though, but he could really emphasize those details well, like gene's eyebrows and my mole on my face! omg right!! detailed! gene said he looked like tai wan 阿成!! hahhha rofl

on sunday, we had dinner at a restaurant for gene's bd!! my fav chinese restaurant cos i love their salted egg yolk pork ribs!!
